Undoubtedly, the United States economy has been struggling and most recently, a credit crisis has taken its toll on Wall Street. Some very large firms have not been able to sustain the solvency necessary to continue business as usual. The uncertainty of what will happen next may have you concerned with investing through Harbour and our worthiness, both now and in the future. So you may be asking yourself, “How is this affecting Harbour?”
Harbour was established in January 1987 and has nearly 200 registered representatives. As a non-carrying introducing broker dealer, Harbour does not carry an investment inventory for our clients and is not involved in any type of investment banking. Therefore, we are not directly subject to sub-prime mortgage default issues.
Harbour is a strong and successful company and remains financially sound. Recently, we moved our home office to a larger, more efficient location in anticipation of additional growth. In addition, Harbour was recently named Division 1 Broker Dealer of the year for the second consecutive year by Investment Advisor Magazine, a national publication.
