Flexibility continues to be a central theme at Harbour,
and our technology options are no exception. We have a number of
technology platforms available for your use at a discounted cost, however
our Representatives are not required to subscribe and can use their own
technology resources if they desire. Our low-cost technology options
include:
WealthServ
Harbour is a strategic
partner with WinSoft, the company that wrote and continues to enhance the
software product, WealthServ. WealthServ is web based, connecting
the home office, our representatives and their clients.
Wealth Serv Investments
offers a complete platform that includes client reporting, data
consolidation, CRM, commission accounting, compliance, clearing company
interfaces, asset allocation modeling, rep licensing, document and image
management and full dealer management functionality under one system.
Through the use of
Advisor’s Assistant software, Harbour offers contact management (for
current clients AND prospects) and a statement consolidation tool.
Advisor’s Assistant can be utilized by Representatives in two ways. With
the first option, Harbour receives the daily download from all available
sources, scrubs the data and makes the information available through the
home office for $75 per month. The second option allows the Representative
to purchase their own subscription to Advisor’s Assistant and receive
their own data. In choosing option one or two, Harbour has staff to
assist you with any questions with the software.
LaserApp is a form filling
software. It can be added to WealthServ, Advisor’s Assistant and other data sources
to streamline paperwork. All Harbour and industry forms can be populated
through LaserApp. Harbour takes care of updating all our forms directly
with LaserApp. The cost for this service is $25 per month.
Harbour can
send copies of all approved paperwork to our Representatives from this
imaging system, LaserFiche. We can help Representatives organize these
images in a variety of ways from organizing PDFs on your personal PC to
linking your imaging systems to ours.
NetEX Pro
This is Pershing’s online
brokerage access software available to Representatives. Their basic
service is $35 per month. Using this system, you can place trades, access
client accounts, issue checks and much more.

Our marketing support is
based on two guiding principles: (1) Provide higher payout levels to
our representatives so they can invest in their business and (2) Utilize
our industry contacts, home office expertise and buying power to provide
marketing solutions that provide the greatest impact per dollar spent.

Our home office staff of 20
people represents the most talented employees in the business. Of the
home office staff 12 hold a series 7 license, 10 are registered
principals, 3 are options principals, 2 are municipal securities principals, one
is a limited municipal principal and one is a financial & operations principal. Our
principals have an average of 12 years of industry experience. With
diverse backgrounds and superior knowledge, our support team will help you
transact business efficiently and accurately. The home office staff is
cross-trained, knowledgeable in back office broker dealer operations and
up to date on the industry as a whole. We encourage our Representatives
to call us with any questions.
Compliance Support
We
understand what it is like to be a Representative because we have been
there. That is why you will find Harbour’s Compliance department so
responsive to your needs. At Harbour, our compliance department’s focus
is on trouble prevention, not sales prevention. We start by bringing on
only the highest quality Representatives with outstanding compliance
records. That strategy allows us to be pro-active, to stay ahead of
constantly changing regulations, instead of wasting our time and energy,
and yours, on putting out fires. We strive for approval within 24-hours
for your advertisements, communications and seminars. Since we know our
Representatives personally, our administration of compliance issues takes
on an entirely human dimension you will not find at larger firms. Our
decisions are thoughtful and considerate because we know they affect real
people, not just a Representative ID number.
Commissions
We know you work hard for
the money you earn, so our Commission team is dedicated to accuracy and
timeliness when it comes to paying your commissions. We pay commissions
to our Representatives on a weekly basis via electronic deposit to their
personal checking account.
Commissions are credited to the Representatives’ Harbour account on the
day they are received. Through our WebOps system, you’ll be able to view
any pending commissions. Along with your weekly payout, we provide an
easy to read commission statement allowing you to reconcile quickly with
your own records. If there is ever a discrepancy, you can count on our
service professionals to provide the personalized service you deserve and
work diligently to find a quick resolution.
Payout
Schedule
Our payout is among the
most generous in the industry. We believe that each Representative is the
best judge of how their business should be run. So rather than withhold a
larger percentage of your commissions to support firm wide technology
platforms or marketing plans, we prefer to give more of your gross dealer
concession back to you so you can put it to work for your business.
Your payout level is established when you join Harbour and is based on a
flat (not incremental) scale. For example, if your payout is
established at 90%, you are paid at that level from the first dollar you
earn. Payout levels are periodically reviewed and subject to change.
